5th april:
AMSTERDAM! finally, But today's trip down is a more family style(parent's tour). I'll go the next time round with Sander and friends.
oh oh oh oh btw i promised to show a real windmill, this pic isn't that fantastic, cause we were driving in the car and the sun was really bright But it's the best i could do.
i also promised to take picture of tulip. so here it goes
Golden Tulip INN hahahahaha. no chance to see real tulips yet! maybe next week.
here's the first landmark, it's called "de munt" or the coin in english.
here's the place where in the old days, farmers from all parts of holland come to weigh all thier produce and get a price for thier products.
Fun fact: they weigh people too, But it's just to check if they're witches or not, if a person is under a certain weight, than they'll be deemed as witches and thus hanged or burned. (maybe they should do it to those anorexic models we have in these times innit?)
A church in Amsterdam, quite ironic though, a beautiful Church but on the next street, and just behind it are the coffeeshops, bars and the red light district.
(sorry only got the appertizers, was too hungry to capture the rest)
Owner's gay, But the sad story is, His partner, Who's the chef of the restaurant died 2 years ago. Apparently, the food's standard didn't drop when they had a "legal" thai "tourist" helping out in the kitchen for the next year. But when a dutch boy took over, it went down slightly. my take on it? it's quite authentic, But could get a little better.
here's a little peek of the red light district, and it's the 2nd time in my life that a lady of the night shouted and swore at me cause i took a pitcture of them(not that good though but you can still see the red lights!)
Montmartre, the most happening gay Club in Amsterdam,
noooo i didn't go in, But that's what i heard. Don't be naughty and think of me as one.
Finally, here's a sweet bike, Check out the kickass Back tire!
that was a clubbing night in Amsterdam, and i'd dare say 80% of the girls that came out that night, THEY'RE HOT!!!!!
And thus Ends the parents style tour of Amsterdam, time ended was about 12 midnight. We got home, and walked the Dogs one more time, Before we called it a night.
